Lip Balm
I am obsessed with lip balm and during this time of year my lips are super thirsty for something nourishing. Now that it's a little difficult to find my favorite lip balm of all time, I've had to begin a search for another until I can make my way up to the Nubian Heritage Store in New York. Luckily I've found four that will suffice until then.
1. Nubian Heritage Mango Butter Lip Balm - Here is the one I LOVE. I never have any problems with this tube of perfection.
2. Alba Organics Coconut Cream Lip Balm - I just discovered this one and it's really great on my lips. I love the ingredients and the way it smells.
3. Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm - Burt's Bees products are usually a hit or miss for me but this lip balm isn't bad.
4. “Karite Lips” Shea Butter Lip Balm with Vanilla - This little guy was a little expensive but I went ahead and tried it out, it was good but the price won't allow me to buy another. Also, there were these little hard chunks of shea butter (I'm assuming) which made it a little weird when applying.
5. Aveeno Lip Conditioner, Essential Moisture SPF 15 - This lip balm smells delicious and it was cool, but after a while it seems to not work as well.
6. Vaseline (not pictured) - I have a little tub of Vaseline that works just as well, too, but not better than my fav.
Feel free to leave your suggestions, I am always open to trying new lip balms.

I too have super dry lips and I've narrowed my lip balms down to Hemp Organics Organic Lip Balm (Amber tint) and Warm Spirit Honey Mango Lip Balm (shameless plug...I sell Warm Spirit). I love both of the balms because of their ingredients. I especially love the Hemp Organics one because it goes on smooth and gives me a hint of tint while moisturizing. I also love the Warm Spirit lip balm because it's more of a butter than a balm, so it's perfect to put on at night to make sure I wake up with soft lips ready for lip color.
I used to use Burts Bee's lip balm, but it's too thick and sticky. Check out the two I mentioned, you'll love 'em!

I also still have a tube of this balm - http://www.bigelowchemists.com/product_info.php/products_id/3187 - which I also like.
BTW - I LOVE your blog!!!!

Those are all good picks. But there are some great Shea Butter and Cocoa Buuter lip balms by Marie Deneen worth checking out.

After 5 years, I'm still completely addicted to Smith's Rosebud salve. I have actually purchased a couple of other lip balms in the last couple of weeks, just to make sure I wasn't missing out on anything, but I kept going back to good ol'Rosebud Salve.

I love alba organics in passion fruit! It leaves my lips very moisturized esp if you slather it on overnight.

Burt's bees is hit or miss with me too(quite honestly it dries me out). I have the same problem with Kiehls. I swear by their deodorant, but their petroleum based lip balm is not my favorite. You should try Bigelow's my favorite lip balm(original) the best! in my opinion.

I have extremely chapped/peeling lips year round and I have tried everything. My favorite is the SPF 15 Lip Balm from Khiels. It is soothing when you lay it on thick. I also use a lip exfoliator.
Side note: Did you know that Burt's Bee's sold out to Clorox for $925 Million this year?

Burts bees is like AIR, need it to live. Target sells them in value packs for $10 btw.

Love the post! Quick beauty tip: try exfoliating before applying lip balm. Exfoliation removes dead skin cells and will allow for better penetration of the lip balm. Grapeseed oil and sugar works or try Philosophy's Kiss Me Exfoliating Lip Scrub:
