Where: 1st generation Jamadadian {half Jamaican/half Trini}...born and bred in Queens NYc.
What: One half of sassyfunk/urban duo HEAVy [HEAVyMusic.Net]. Singer. Songwriter. Muse. Creative.
What inspires you? I live in the middle of the BEST city in the world...the grit grime imagery passion and pain of NYc inspires me. AND when the people, subways and architecture fall short...Joni [Mitchell]* Herbie [Hancock]* Dilla* Annie Leibovitz never disappoint.
Why are you fly? I like to make up songs about your lives, choose my words to speak for you, string them together for all to sing. Bat my lashes and attack with my quick wit when folks least expect it. That all can make anyone pretty darn fly...or at the very least a lot of fun to be around.
Advice: Believe and invest in yourself first...make sure to take care of your business...quit saying "I don't know" around boys when you do...flexibility is the key to immortality...read books and never be afraid to be smart, sexy, funny and cool.
