Younique Magazine
I was looking through all my blog categories and realized I hadn't posted anything under My Designs & Illustrations in a while. So I decided to share this project I worked on last semester. I created a hypothetical magazine for young teen girls as an alternative to magazines that currently exist. The magazine would feature articles and images to inspire teen girls to love themselves as they are. I wanted it to have a scrapbook-y/hand-done quality for the reader to feel as though it was a personal piece made just for her.

What a GREAT CONCEPT for a magazine....! Maybe you should pitch it to someone or do an EZINE .... : )
Great one Andrea!

Hi everybody! Thank you so much for your words. I totally wish there was an actual magazine like this for teen girls and wish I could have some part in creating it.

You really should put a zine/magazine together. You'd undoubtedly bring something fresh to the table.

What a splendid idea! Young teen girls would be attracted to the style you presented, and it would draw them to the positive, creative messages that are definitely missing in mainstream media. I'm sure you've picked up a magazine, and it of course had unrealistically thin white girls and an obsession with reeling in a boyfriend - 'are you make out material?', 'are you giving the right signals', etc.
I would love to see a magazine like 'Younique' actually exist!

Loving the the bright colors, the lettering and that homemade look to it. It's really pretty.
