I love Twitter. The other day KurlyBella of K Is for Kurly tweeted a youtube link to a cute little muppet singing a song called I Love My Hair. I found the video on SesameStreet.com and had to share.
The video and song is so cute, and the enthusiastic dancing has me cracking up every time. The part where she says "I wear it twisted all around" and whips it like she's doing the dutty whine is hilarious!
Okay, back to serious; this is such a necessity. I'm sure a lot of mommies and daddies are doing their best to affirm the beauty and uniqueness of their little girls' hair, but because we live in such a media driven society it means a lot for children to see themselves affirmed on TV — especially on programs they love. Kudos to Sesame Street for making such a sweet segment. See the video here.
P.S. I haven't watched Sesame Street in ages, is this little muppet a regular character on the show?
