Reverie Boutique

Second Thursday on Girard Avenue here in Philly gives locals a chance to explore the boutiques, gallery spaces, and restaurants along and around the corridor during later hours. It's a great opportunity to shop, mingle, feel cultured and indulge on cheese and wine. I visited Reverie, a vintage boutique stocked full with wonderful retro goodies, cute dresses, and embroidered tops. I ended up buying a really cute eyelet top  that I will pair with some shorts or jeans. Definitely stop by if you're in town.

Petulia's Folly

This amazing boutique slightly hidden on Sansom Street is divided into a "wardrobe section" for the fashionista, and a home section for that fashionista to make her quarters look as good as she. I usually just browse around the clothing, but was really impressed with all the goodies packed into the home section. There was also a wonderful display of dolls and objects by Tamar Mogendorff. Definitely stop by if you can. Petulia's Folly 1710-12 Sansom St. Philadelphia, PA

Free City

Back in the day I wanted to own a boutique. A place where people could chill, shop, and explore. That's the essence of Free City. It's an eccentric hot spot with cute tees, vintage albums, and other goodies to discover. Read the article about Free City here.

Vintage Connection

I can never get enough of vintage stores! So when I stumbled upon this new boutique, Vintage Connection — close to South Street in Philly, I couldn't wait to drop in and check out the wares. Shop-owner, Heather Waity has a great eye and has packed the cute space with her delicious finds that won't do too much damage to the pocketbook. Drop by when you can. Philly: P.A.D. Home Furninshings

I visit this cute little boutique almost weekly to see what new goodies they have for the home and wardrobe. All their home furnishings are unique and fabulous, and although their vintage clothing section is a little out of my price range, it's always fun to browse through their new pieces. Visit P.A.D. here.

Curious Sofa

When I lived in Kansas City I always visited this little shop of romantic vintage finds. Curious Sofa is like a smaller version of Anthropologie minus the mass appeal. It's also a little more quaint and personal, and a great destination for gifts and pretty little items for your home. Visit the site and blog to learn more.

Hable Construction Sample Sale

Last week one of my favorite textile design studios, Hable Construction, had a wonderful sample sale. I almost missed out, but made it there just in time to snatch up a pair of really pretty pillows (one shown below). Llubav, who works at Hable, showed me around the space; I got a sneak peak of what's to come, and a look at her inspiration board (also, shown below).

Hable
It was truly a delight to chat with co-owner, Katherine, and Llubav about the different pieces that Hable is now carrying. The Cole Bag, which I loved, is perfect for a weekend getaway. The Picnic Bag, which is super cute, can be used for a picnic in the park but just as well as a handbag. I was completely surprised when Llubav told me I could choose a bag for myself as a little gift for featuring the studio. I was shocked and very excited!! It took me a long time to choose, but I selected the brightly colored El Hombre. It's perfect to carry your personal items along with a magazine and/or book, it also has deep side pockets for your water bottle and other goodies. Love it!!

Super Deluxe

I came across this cute little boutique the other day and had to share. Super Deluxe made a smash hit with their monogrammed dishes and stationery, but everything I saw in their lovely boutique is noteworthy. Check out their site to see their pieces. Meanwhile take a look at their boutique space, even the bathroom is super cute.
