Color Combos

I thought it would be fun to share some color explorations from my sketchbook. I went through several magazines to cut out various colors and put them together to make an interesting palette. I have a lot so I will share them all in the days to come.

Bright Blue

I never paid much attention to this color before until I started seeing it all over the place. I like how it's used with neutrals like black and gray, but with yellow or turquoise it becomes a little more fun.

Medallion Necklaces

I am loving the big medallion necklace trend, which Rakia introduced me to (see her's on our webisode). I found these lovely versions from etsy shop ragtrader.

The Brightness

I'm seeing a lot of these lively colors all over the magazine pages and I love it. Here are a few clippings from my collection.

Pretty in Hot Pink

What a luscious, juicy color! It's great for accent pieces in your home or wardrobe and superb for those who can get away with it on those fabulous lips.

English Cottage Inspired

Roses, creams, and flirty patterns.

Lemon Lime

Who woulda thought that Lemon Lime would be an "it" accent color for the Fall/Winter. It's been spotted all over the runway, and because it's so tangy and unexpected I had to do a collage honoring this fun color. Lemon Lime green is perfect with neutrals like gray or black but even better by itself.

Seafoam Blue/Green

My favorite color is seafoam blue, or is it called seafoam green? Either way I LOVE it. I was looking at my wardrobe and realized I've gone overboard with this color: pants, a corduroy jacket, handbag, sandals, pjs, bra, shorts, tops...you name it I got it in seafoam. So here's a little collage paying homage to this wonderful color.
