Garden Inspiration

Whenever I visit my mother during the spring and summer she cannot wait to show me her garden. Before I can even put down my little traveling bag she's already leading me to the backyard so I can see the herbs and vegetables that are coming in nicely. I'm always pleasantly surprised to see what new little goodies she's got planted back there. Last year was the mint (which has come in handy for our homemade mojitos) and this year her strawberries have finally come in. I love strawberries so I couldn't wait for the little snack.

Found Matter

I'm always amazed at what I can find while exploring Philadelphia neighborhoods. Recently I discovered, Found Matter, a company that collects and sells furniture, building materials, and vintage appliances from old industrial, commercial, and residential spaces that are being closed down. They also create one-of-a-kind pieces out of their finds. Right now they are having a huge moving sale and had all their goodies marked down. There were so many items waiting for a wonderful DIY restore.
