The photography as well as the fashion is so great in these images that I had a hard time deciding what category to post them under. I totally dig this collection from Megan Park.

I was going through my closet cleaning out some stuff (which takes me forever because I try on everything to make sure I hate it enough to get rid of) and came across one of my jackets that I adore. I had no need to try this jacket on because there's no way in h*ll that I would give it away, but I put it on to share. This vintage Christian Lacroix jacket, part of a suit, was given to me by mom years ago, I think I was a teen. I remember looking at it and thinking "you're crazy, I would never wear that," I'm sure I said it with that teenage disgust I would give my parents who I thought were just here to ruin my teen life. Then one day some years after that initial introduction to quality I was home visiting and found it in the basement and tried it on. It was perfect and suddenly I understood why my mother saved it despite my ignorance, she knew my taste would change with time. It's my favorite piece, shoulder pads and all! I'm all about details so I adore the buttons and the zipper pull on the sleeves, and I love to throw it on with jeans (not the ones pictured) and heels. Now I just have to get enough nerve to rock it with the skirt, eeeeeek!

This line of clothing is so hot, mainly because I LOVE sequins. I dig the butterfly top completely covered in sequins but also love the small sequins detail in the outfit pictured second row right. See more on Pepper and Pistol.

This past Spring, Zachary's Smile White Label created a series of wax print patterned dresses (top two pictured) that were sold in Anthropologie. They were very cute but entirely out of my price range. Then I remembered Djema Imports, a storefront on 125th Street in Harlem that sells African fabric and customizes it into an outfit of your choice. Recently, when Rahil and I were in Manhattan we went and bought some fabric to make dresses of our own. You saw mine that I rocked in the latest webisode, check out Rahil's which I just finished making the other day. Both are paired with fun vintage belts.

I know it's only hair and it will grow back to it's previous length but seeing the girl in green with the big fro reminded me of the hair drama I had two months ago. I miss my big hair :(. Sigh...I guess I just have to wait and be patient. Okay, so I'm really off the subject with this post, here are some wonderful pieces from Duro Olowu. I am a huge fan of his work, he always uses amazing mixtures of beautiful patterns.

I love fantasy worlds, that's the air sign in me. I love movies like the Neverending Story, Lord of the Rings and such. Stories about unicorns, rainbows, mermaids and little people that live in flowers always intrigued me as a little girl (okay I won't front, they still intrigue me). These illustrations by Dan-ah Kim remind me of those fantastical adventures.
