Your work is included in a long-term installation at the Brooklyn
Museum of Art, share with us something about this experience that inspired or
motivated you?
Though witnessing my dreams and aspirations come to fruition has been
surreal for me, each unique experience drives me to work even harder
and to never take anything for granted. Seeing my work hanging in the
Brooklyn Museum in the company of artists whose work I admired from
afar just several years ago, inspires me to reach out to younger
artists to show them that as long as you are passionate about what you are doing success will come.
I don't have one person in particular that I would want to meet, but I would love to encounter high profile celebrities who have been involved in some type of public scandal, and/or have felt as if they have been misunderstood. And I would ask them I could paint them in hopes of capturing their true essence.
One place you would love to visit but haven't been to yet.

Favorite hair product?
I was addicted to Miss Jessie's Buttercreme,
but more recently I have been trying my hand at creating my own hair
products with shea butter, essential oils, etc.
Favorite TV show of all time?
This is a very hard question for me, because I love to watch television. But I would have to go with Martin
before Tisha Campbell left. No matter how many times I watch the same
episodes they still make me laugh. Especially the episodes with the
"puppy thing."
I've been listening to Musiq Souldchild's "So Beautiful," Lil Wayne's "I'm Single" and Corinne Bailey Rae's "Closer."
Favorite website, blog, or online shop?
Of course I check out Fly frequently! as far as websites, I check MediaTakeOut daily. I have a fascination with the fact that popular
culture, celebrity gossip in recent years has overtaken world news, or
even has become featured on news programs. So I check a few gossip
blogs to not only fuel the content of my work, but for entertainment as
well. ;0)
